Environment Canada has issued a yellow weather alert for all the GTA, warning of a prolonged period of very cold windchills which could hit minus 35 degrees, as well as a special weather statement warning of high winds, which could hit 80 km/hr leading to blowing snow in rural and exposed areas. Officially, our weather forecast says that we’ll see mainly cloudy skies this evening and overnight tonight with periods of snow, the risk of snow squalls and overnight lows of minus 19 with windchills of minus 33. For tomorrow, we’ll see a mix of sun and cloud with blowing snow and highs near minus 15 and morning windchills of minus 33.
